There are so many reasons this is the only hanger I'll have in my home. It's thin and compact but strong. I've had these hangers for several years and never had one break. I just ordered more for my pre-teens closets as they have outgrown their youth hangers. An active family, we move in and out of our closets quickly. We live in a hot and cold environment so pop into the closet to adjust with sweaters on and off. Tank tops, sportswear, work clothes... I even hang up my swim suits. And everything stays put thanks to the rubber grips at the ends of the hangers. Again, having some of these hangers in my closet (in the desert) for years, I can tell you the rubber never dries up and cracks or gets gummy or sticky. The swivel hook is smooth and I have not had one "unscrew" or break off. It's a strange thing, having a deep love for a hanger, much less a particular hanger. But the Mainetti 584 is a staple for my family!
